Welcome & Parenting with a Compass

A warm welcome to a new space for the educational and mentoring side of our parenting journey, where we slow down, read, and grow as the kind of parents our children feel safe growing up beside.

In This Issue

Dear All,

Welcome to the "Creating a Blessed Family" newsletter!

I have thought about a better way to engage with you than the "Becoming a Mindful Parent" WhatsApp group. We all know WhatsApp is great for quick updates, but we also know how easily the educational tips and wisdom you share can get lost.

I'm glad you're joining this newsletter. My goal is to create a space where we can focus on the "educational and mentoring" side of our parenting journey and inspire you to continue "Becoming a Mindful Parent" virtual meetings.

What you can expect from this space

We'll explore topics like "How to Support Spiritual Development of Adolescents" and "Empty Nest — What to Let Go of and What to Hold on to." My focus will be on fostering emotional intelligence, children's developmental needs across different stages of parenting, and the couple relationship as the foundation of a blessed family life.

You can access the content whenever you have a quiet moment to read. I will be sending the newsletter only twice a month.

Over to You

Is there a specific educational topic or a relationship challenge you'd like me to cover in the upcoming issues?

Please reply and let me know — I'd love to hear from you.

Why Your Teenager Needs You to Change First

Parenting a teenager can feel like everything that once worked suddenly... doesn't. The closeness fades, conflict rises, and it's tempting to focus on what your teen needs to fix. But here's the surprising truth: the most powerful change doesn't start with them — it starts with you.

Adolescence is not only a developmental stage for your child; it's a developmental stage for parents, too. Teenagers need us to evolve — from managers to partners, from judges to curious detectives, from reactive to regulated.

When parents grow, teens feel safer, calmer, and more understood. And when teens feel understood, behaviour shifts naturally.

Here are the essentials your teenager needs from you now

Your self-development isn't selfish — it's foundational. As your teen grows into an adult, ask yourself: Am I becoming the kind of adult they feel safe growing up next to? This shift changes everything.

Navigating Unhealthy Relationship Dynamics and Communication Errors (Part 1)

Many challenges stem from common mistakes parents make that strain the relationship with their adult child.

Parenting with Compass — New Video

I have created a new YouTube channel to share videos. Here is the link to watch the video created using Notebook AI. It is based on my text and several Polish sources that explore the spiritual development of children.

Announcements

I have a WhatsApp group for having discussions on the topics raised in this newsletter and for sharing our stories — both the blessings and the challenges of our family life. Please join the "Becoming a Mindful Parent" WhatsApp group, or my Facebook page, "Creating Our Family."
