Why Are We Here?
Sometimes we ask ourselves questions like: "Why did I come to Earth?", "Why am I experiencing so much pain?", "Why are my partner, child, or neighbour the way they are?". These questions flow from the depths of your soul, which came here to experience. Your soul chose Earth to learn about love – true, deep, unconditional love.
Before coming to Earth, God – or whatever you call that higher energy – whispered to your soul: "My dear, to experience love, you must also know darkness. You will feel pain, sadness, anger, and sometimes someone will hurt you. But all of this is so you can learn to forgive and return to love. I will be with you, as an invisible friend, and the people you meet will be your teachers – sometimes through love, sometimes through pain."
On Earth, we experience separation – from our mother, from siblings, from a sense of wholeness. As children, we feel jealousy, fear, anger, and these emotions distance us from love. It's said that until the age of seven, a child is strongly connected to the spiritual world. Later, this connection often fades. When we reach 30, we begin to search for answers again: "Why am I here? How can I find love?"
Your Partner as a Mirror to Your Soul
Your partner – your husband, your beloved, someone you spend the most time with – is your greatest teacher. More than anyone else, they show you what lies within you. In childhood, our "soul holes" are formed – wounds like sadness, regret, fear, anger, or a feeling of rejection. We'd like to love with all our heart, but these wounds fill our inner being, blocking the flow of love.
Imagine you are a vessel. When love flows through you, you see the world with acceptance, lightness, and joy. You create, you manifest, you radiate. But when your vessel is filled with pain, anger, or suffering, you look at others through the lens of these emotions. The relationship then becomes grey, difficult, full of misunderstandings. Love is acceptance, and when there is pain in the heart, acceptance vanishes. We start to flee – into victimhood, into blaming our partner, and sometimes into aggression.
Your partner is a mirror. They show you what you carry within yourself. We often expect them to heal our wounds – to give us the security, attention, and joy we didn't receive in childhood. If you feel fear, you look for a partner who will give you a sense of stability. If, in childhood, you lacked admiration from your parents, you might unconsciously expect your partner to constantly see and admire you.
Ask yourself: What do I consciously expect from my partner? And what do I expect unconsciously? Why did I choose them? Your "soul holes" attract a partner who helps you see them. The more you expect them to fill these voids, the harder it is to achieve harmony.
Darkness and Light in a Relationship
At the beginning of a relationship, when we're in love, we show the best version of ourselves. Our wounds are hidden, and love flows freely. But over time, as the initial fascination fades, when we're tired or frustrated, these "holes" surface. We begin to use control, manipulation, coercion – sometimes unconsciously.
Consider: Do you ever manipulate in your relationship? Perhaps you change your tone of voice to get something? Maybe you use subtle emotional blackmail to make your partner do what you want? Or perhaps you control because you fear rejection or betrayal?
When a partner hurts us – for example, by betraying us – it's painful. They need to show remorse, apologise, ask for forgiveness. But you have a task: to look at your own wound of betrayal, rejection, abandonment. If your partner hadn't touched that spot, you would never have seen that wound was within you. It's thanks to them that you can heal yourself and say: "I am love. Love flows through me."
What is True Partnership?
True partnership isn't about filling each other's "soul holes." It's a readiness for growth and transformation – together, but also individually. It's about taking responsibility for yourself. You can say to your partner: "I take care of myself – for myself and for you." And if you have open, honest communication, you can add: "You take care of yourself too – for yourself and for me."
This is the most beautiful relationship – two people consciously working on themselves, accepting each other, and allowing love to flow. It's not about your partner healing your wounds. It's about you, looking at them as a partner, not a controller or a saviour, being able to see your own beauty and your own darkness.
Your Path to Love
Woman on the path of development, sensitive to spiritual values – your soul chose this path to learn love. Your partner, your relationships, your wounds – all of this is so you can return to the source, to the love that is within you. Pause for a moment. Take a breath. Ask yourself: What do I see in my partner? What are they showing me about myself?
Don't be afraid of your "soul holes." They are a map that leads you to healing. Every difficulty in a relationship is an invitation to look deeper, to forgive, to accept – first yourself, and then others.
You are love. And even if you sometimes forget it, your soul always knows. Allow it to lead you.
